What if we didn’t have the Bill of Rights?

Think of what our country would be like if we didn’t have the rights listed in the Bill of Rights.  Choose one of the rights and give a brief description of what life would be like without that right.  You need to give two reasons why we need that right in the Bill of Rights.  Write your answer in microsoft word and copy and paste it into the comment box.  Please use complete sentences, correct grammar, and punctuation.

Spring Break

How is your break going?  What are you busy doing?  We have spent much needed time resting and having fun with just family.  However, I do have a wish.  I wish I was on a warm beach somewhere, digging my toes into the sand and listening to the waves hit the shore.  While staying home has been very relaxing, I would have much loved going to the beach.  What about you?  If you could have done something differently, what would it have been?

Current Book Talk

Tell me about a book you are currently reading or you just finished reading.  I want you to be sure and tell me these four main things:

1.  Describe the main character(s) in your story.  If it is nonfiction, describe the topic being read about.

2.  What is the main problem the character is facing in the book?  How did it get solved or how do you think it will get solved?  (If reading a nonfiction book, describe some information learned from reading.)

3.  Which character in the story is most like you and why?  If you don’t think any character is like you, tell how they are like someone that you know.  (If reading a nonfiction book, tell how you can use this information.)

4.  What do you like most about this book?  (favorite part)

All girls or all boys school vs. traditional classrooms

I heard on the news last week that a school in Georgia is separating boys and girls in their classes.  This means that you would be in a classroom or in a hallway with all boys or in a hallway or classroom with all girls.  How do you think this would work?  What are some advantages (good things) about setting up a school like this?  What are some disadvantages (bad things) about setting up a school like this?  How would you feel if our school tried something like this?
